Solution: Charitable Bingo
Answer: VICTORY

The text of this puzzle includes a reference to the CNIB – Canadian National Institute for the Blind. This reference leads us to the Braille alphabet, where each letter is represented by a combination of raised dots arranged in a 3x2 grid. Not coincidentally, the Bingo cards in this puzzle are also arranged in a 3x2 grid.

We might try playing Bingo, by placing dots on all the cards for each of the Bingo balls along the side. Doing this for all the balls at once doesn’t appear to help, since it results in way too many dots and there is no obvious way to tie the results back to Braille.

If we take one ball at a time, however, things work out better.

Author’s Notes

This puzzle was inspired by a poster I saw on campus that advertised an event by marking the date and time as dabs on a Bingo card.
